Queensland Energy and Economic Summit

Queensland's next wave of economic growth is being shaped by energy investment and the opportunities it creates for regional jobs, local businesses and supply chains across the state.

The state's Energy Roadmap points to a substantial pipeline of new generation, storage and network infrastructure over the coming decade one that will generate thousands of jobs, create significant opportunities for local and regional businesses, and drive supply chains and small businesses across Queensland's regions.

Delivering on that pipeline requires a strong, investable market where the policy settings, regulatory frameworks and investor confidence combine to build partnerships and get projects moving and keep capital flowing into Queensland.

It requires:

  • building the system that can support the state's growing energy needs: the infrastructure, the grid capability and the market structures that make delivery possible at scale.
  • genuine community collaboration: meaningful partnerships with the landholders, local governments and regional communities whose support determines whether projects get built and whether the benefits are shared.

With a clear-eyed focus on economic opportunity, Queensland's energy investment is writing the next chapter of the state's economic story.

The first Queensland Energy and Economic Summit brings industry, government, business landholders and local communities together for a practical conversation about all of this. Over one day in Brisbane, hear from industry leaders, investors, policymakers, farmers and local government on what it takes to build a strong investable market, deliver the infrastructure the system needs, foster genuine community collaboration, and ensure the economic opportunity flows to the regions hosting these projects including the role large-scale solar and storage play in the mix.

Highlights include:

  • In-depth sessions — Explore the economic transformation underway across Queensland's energy sector, from building a strong investable market and delivering the infrastructure the system needs, through to the community collaboration and economic opportunity that determines whether Queensland captures its full potential.

  • Networking opportunities — Connect with industry leaders, investors, developers, local government representatives and regional businesses at the Summit and at our Networking Drinks. The relationships built here are as valuable as the conversations on stage.

  • Future-focused discussions — Engage with the people and ideas shaping Queensland's economic future, from the boardroom to the regions, and leave with a clearer picture of where the opportunities are and how to be part of them.
