Industry leaders shaping the Summit program
The Australian Clean Energy Summit Program Advisory Committee is made up of senior leaders and subject matter experts from across the clean energy sector.
The Committee provides strategic input into the direction and content of the Summit program, helping to ensure it reflects key industry priorities, emerging trends and the issues shaping Australia’s clean energy transition.

Emma Fagan

Emma Fagan is General Manager, Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Akaysha Energy, specialising in renewable energy, climate policy and strategy. She has held senior roles at Tesla and Energetics and previously served on the Clean Energy Council board. Emma brings deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and policy development supporting the transition to a low-emissions energy system.

Belinda Fan

British Solar Renewables
Belinda Fan is Chief Executive Officer Australia at British Solar Renewables, leading the delivery of a multi-gigawatt renewable and storage pipeline. With over 20 years’ experience, she has held senior roles across global energy and investment organisations. Belinda has led large-scale renewable development and delivery, working with major investors to advance clean energy projects across Australia.

Gero Farruggio
Head of Australia
Rystad Energy
Gero Farruggio is Head of Australia at Rystad Energy, overseeing operations and renewable energy advisory services. With over 25 years’ experience, he has held leadership roles across research, consulting and industry. Gero previously led Sustainable Energy Research Analytics and held senior roles at Wood Mackenzie, specialising in renewable energy market analysis and strategy.

Dennis Freedman

Dennis Freedman is Managing Director Australia and New Zealand at Aquila Clean Energy, overseeing a significant renewable energy portfolio. With nearly 20 years of experience across renewable generation and transmission, he brings strong industry expertise. Dennis is also a Board member of the Clean Energy Council and contributes to strategic advisory bodies within the energy sector.

Felicity is focused on building high-performing teams and contributing to industry discussions on delivering reliable, sustainable and consumer-focused energy systems.

Jane Gibbs
National ESG Advisory Lead / Executive - Social and Heritage

Jane Gibbs is Executive and National ESG Advisory Lead at Umwelt, with over 30 years’ experience in environmental planning, energy and climate policy. She has held senior roles in government and international organisations, including leading the NSW Consumer Energy Strategy. Jane specialises in environmental approvals and ESG advisory for major energy projects across Australia.

Con Hristodoulidis
Executive General Manager - Policy

As Executive General Manager, Policy at the Clean Energy Council, Con brings over 25 years of experience in energy policy, gained across member associations and Australia’s largest energy companies. He has been a leading advocate for policy reform since the inception of the National Electricity Market, contributing to the design of the wholesale market, retail competition and best-practice economic regulation. Con leads the CEC policy team dedicated to advancing Australia’s transition to a sustainable and renewable energy future. He works closely with CEC members across the clean energy value chain, fostering collaboration to shape policy and regulatory frameworks that unlock investment, innovation and consumer participation. Through strategic leadership and strong engagement with government, regulators and industry, Con focuses on removing barriers, accelerating the deployment of renewable energy and ensuring clean energy technologies are central to Australia’s energy system.

Katherine McLellan

Katherine McLellan is a planning and environmental lawyer at Allens, advising clients on the development and delivery of major renewable energy projects across Australia. She has deep experience supporting proponents through complex planning and environmental approval pathways for large scale energy infrastructure.
Katherine has a particular focus on emerging and critical energy development, including battery storage, transmission infrastructure, hydro, and offshore wind. She regularly advises on approvals strategy, risk management and regulatory engagement for projects navigating multi jurisdictional frameworks and evolving policy settings.

Troy Pickwick

Troy Pickwick is an Australian Aboriginal man (Gooreng Gooreng and Mununjali) who has created innovative solutions for diverse sectors, nationally and internationally. He has worked with Governments (State and Federal), multi-national organisations, and universities, where he lectured at Masters level, and coordinated students and remote education. Troy was the Director of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Unit for the Australian Federal Police where he became the Director of Equity and Diversity. He has worked in areas such as forestry, agriculture, museums, film, housing, and renewable energy. Troy has a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) and a Master of Art (Indigenous Social Policy), both from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.

Committed to driving the Australian energy transition, I bring over two decades of experience in renewable energy and storage, with a focus on investment and project development. Currently leading Octopus Australia's renewable energy team teams, my focus is on steering the successful delivery of a multi GW, firmed clean energy portfolio tailored to the specific needs of our investors and offtakers.

Colin Wain
Manager Policy Development
Hydro Tasmania
Colin has been in the Australian energy industry for 18 years, building deep expertise across market design, renewable energy policy, emissions accounting and government engagement. In his role at Hydro Tasmania, he works at the intersection of technical analysis and policy development, helping shape how Australia’s energy markets evolve through the transition to cleaner generation. Colin represents Hydro Tasmania across several national industry bodies, including the Clean Energy Council and Australian Energy Council, contributing to sector wide advocacy and collaboration.
He has been involved in multiple reviews of Australia’s National Electricity Market, focusing on whether its design and incentives are fit for purpose as the nation shifts away from coal fired generation toward renewable energy and storage backed by Australia’s existing hydropower resources. With a career grounded in evidence based policy and strong industry relationships, Colin works to ensure Australia’s energy frameworks support reliability, sustainability and long term economic outcomes.

Tom Whiting
Wind lead APAC
Worley
Tom is Worley’s wind lead for APAC both onshore and offshore, who’s focus is to expand Worley’s track record in providing client services from early-stage development into operations. His aim is leveraging the digital engineering, project controls, and advisory capabilities of Worley globally to reduce time and cost across DevEx, CapEx and Opex.
Since 2002, he has developed and constructed offshore wind projects in; Irish Sea, North Sea, Baltic Sea, German Bight, Thames Estuary and English Channel by ensuring the supply chain is organised to provide solutions and provide answers to emerging problems across the all-lifecycle stage. He’s been at the forefront of the development of new technology and methodology for installing components offshore, focusing on getting the right tools for the job (from bolting equipment to vessel selection).
As the client and an advisor, he has introduced collaborative risk sharing contract models across onshore and offshore construction with “best for project” mindset. These agreements were put into practice for the installation and logistics scope managing (in parallel) project teams across UK, Sweden, and Germany as well as NSW using NEC4 contracts.
Tom’s career highlight was to lead the strategy, procurement, mobilisation, deployment and daily operations of multiple heavy lift installation and support vessels during offshore construction at Robin Rigg (GB), Karehanm (SE), Humber Gateway (GB), Amrumbank West (DE), Rampion (GB) & Arkona (DE).
