Mikala Hehir is General Manager Public Affairs at Energy Safe Victoria, the electricity and gas safety regulator responsible for appliances, installations, distribution networks and energy generation.
She leads marketing and communications, stakeholder engagement and partnerships, industry education and guidance, and community and regulatory services, including licensing operations, certificates of electrical safety, and the management of complaints and public enquiries.
Mikala joined Energy Safe in January 2026 to set the direction for external engagement and build trust, transparency and accountability with stakeholders, supporting compliance with regulatory obligations.
She brings 20+ years’ experience in corporate affairs, sustainability, strategy and customer experience, having previously worked across multiple organisation and sectors including Monash University, South East Water, Australia Post and NAB.
