Presentation title
Bankability Through Collaboration: Redefining Wind Portfolio Transaction
Presentation summary
Australia’s wind energy sector is undergoing a significant capital investment. As wind energy renewable energy transaction deals grow in scale, bankability and a deep understanding of renewable energy projects are key to securing profitable, valuable portfolios. There should be no winners or losers in an energy transaction, only shared success. This presentation will offer insight into how the future of wind energy portfolio transactions will depend on collaboration that balances the needs of buyers, sellers, financiers, and communities. It will explore how early engagement between buyers and sellers can unlock more resilient and bankable projects. By shifting mindset from lowest cost, instead to fair value and secure supply, transactions can create a more confident and sustainable investment environment for global investment. Insights and approaches taken for TagEnergy in its process to acquire ACE Power and capital raising for Neoen to fund its development pipeline will be provided. This will include the benefits of opening and maintaining risk-sharing conversations for energy security and wind farm developments. Conversations maintained from negotiation through to commercial operation are helping deliver not only energy supply, but long-term value, confidence, and energy security and wind generation development for Australia’s energy transition.
