Elise is a skilled environment and planning professional with a strong legal background in renewable energy development. Prior to joining the CEC, she worked as an environment and planning lawyer at Allens, where she specialised in securing environmental approvals for renewable energy projects. Her work focused on navigating complex regulatory frameworks to support the delivery of sustainable infrastructure, including offset regimes and issues relating to approvals under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. Elise holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University. Outside of the CEC she loves hiking, books and crosswords.
