Across Australia, the power of wind is constant, but the stories on land and on sea are very different. As a cornerstone of Australia’s clean energy mix, onshore wind is a proven performer but its momentum is being tested. Offshore wind, meanwhile, with declared areas in place, is a new frontier, full of potential as investment, regulation and supply-chain frameworks mature.

The Australian Wind Industry Forum will unpack these challenges as well as the opportunities and innovations across the two sectors, forming a picture of Australia’s wind powered future.

Taking place on Tuesday 26 May 2026 at Centrepiece, Melbourne, this one-day forum will explore the topics pertinent to Australia’s onshore and offshore wind industries across three core themes:

  • Challenges with reaching FID: building certainty in an evolving landscape

  • Transforming technology: harnessing the latest innovations

  • Planning and place: creating the conditions for project success

With a comprehensive program spanning policy, planning, technology and project delivery across the full wind energy lifecycle, the forum offers practical learnings and valuable opportunities to connect, including post-event Networking Drinks.
