Krystal Skinner is the CEO of Horizon Power, leading a team of 600+ staff to deliver power to approximately 47,000 customer accounts across regional and remote Western Australia. Horizon Power operates across the full energy supply chain, with generation, transmission, distribution and retail services delivered to some of the most remote, and logistically challenging parts of Australia.

Since Krystal assumed the CEO position in June 2025, Horizon Power has realised significant energy transition milestones. These include the launch of its Virtual Power Plant proposition, Community Wave, the construction of major Hybrid Renewable Energy Projects at Exmouth and Blackstone and in an Australian first, becoming the first utility to implement visibility of its low voltage networks via the award-winning Life Support and Outage Management Program.

In her previous role as Executive General Manager Remote Communities, Krystal was responsible for all aspects of power generation, distribution network operations and retail services to 117 remote communities across Western Australia.

She also previously led Horizon Power’s retail business as Executive General Manager Customer and Community, with key achievements including the introduction of new products and programs, including Sunshine Saver, Kimberley Communities Solar Saver and the Australian first, Esperance Electrification program.

Krystal has extensive experience in WA’s energy sector including working for energy retailer Synergy prior to commencing with Horizon Power. She understands how to put customers and communities at the centre of decision-making, empowering them to actively participate in the energy transition
