Innovating clean energy battery training to support a diverse workforce
Presentation summary
The TAFE Centre of Excellence Clean Energy Batteries will drive the development of national innovative training in renewable energy batteries, intermittent renewable energy source storage, grid connectivity, network embedded storage at large and small scales, and electric vehicles.
Working in partnership with state and national stakeholders, this Centre will ensure the clean energy workforce has the skills to design, install, operate and maintain renewable energy systems and batteries, with a focus on ensuring training is accessible for First Nations peoples and those in rural, regional and remote areas.
To support workforce participation and accessible learning opportunities, the Centre will offer applied research grant funding and enable industry-led pilot programs through to 2028.
