Leeanne Bond is an Independent Non-executive Director with more than 30 years experience in in executive and board roles. Her focus is on energy transition and decarbonisation of our economy, infrastructure and project governance, innovation and entrepreneurship and workplace diversity and inclusion.
Leeanne is Deputy Chair and lead independent director of FPR Energy, a solar thermal spinoff from CSIRO which launched in November 2024 and was appointed an independent non-executive director of Tilt Renewables in February 2025. She is also a director of Aurecon, One Basin Cooperative Research Centre and the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE).
Leeanne also chairs the Queensland Energy System Advisory Board (QESAB) advising the Queensland Treasurer, Minister for Energy and Minister for Home Ownership, the Honourable David Janetzki, under the Energy (Renewable Transformation and Jobs) Act 2024 on progress towards renewable energy targets and matters that are part of the optimal infrastructure pathway.
Leeanne has previously served on the boards of public, private and government entities in the energy sector including Snowy Hydro, Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Territory Generation and Tarong Energy.
Leeanne has a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and an MBA from The University of Queensland and recently completed the UQ Oxford executive leadership course with Saiid Business School with a focus on transformational projects. Leeanne is an Adjunct Professor at QUT, a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and ATSE, an Honorary Fellow of Engineers Australia and a member of Chief Executive Women.
