Kylie Porter is the CEO of the Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF), Queensland’s peak body for agriculture. Through QFF, Kylie works with member organisations to support farmers, strengthen policy and contribute to the future of Queensland’s regional communities.

Kylie is a proud fifth-generation regional Queenslander and has built her career in regional Queensland, including establishing her own communications consultancy which she sold in 2017 after 21 years. During this time, Kylie held a range of community leadership roles including President of the Mackay Region Chamber of Commerce and Director of Regional Development Australia Greater Whitsunday. She went on to join Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3) in 2018, and has been Chief Executive Officer from 2019 to 2026. At GW3, Kylie brought industry, government and community together to champion the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday regions and drive action across agriculture, resources, manufacturing, tourism, health and emerging clean economy industries. During her time at GW3 she led a proactive agenda of research and analysis to show where that potential of the region is, why it mattered, and what it would take to realise it.

Kylie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Southern Queensland and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is a founding Non-Executive Director of C-Res, one of Australia’s largest social enterprises, which delivers a local buying platform in remote and regional locations across Australia in partnership with BHP. Since inception, C-Res has awarded more than $1.5 billion in procurement to more than 1,400 businesses. She is currently a member of Queensland Treasury’s Clean Economy Expert Panel, providing independent advice to the Treasurer on practical and economically sustainable pathways to reduce emissions while maintaining industry competitiveness.
