John Hardwick is the General Manager – Operations & Maintenance at Transgrid, where he accountable for the safe, reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of a large-scale transmission network.
He leads multidisciplinary teams and a workforce of more than 400 people, fostering a high-performing, safety-focused culture.
With more than 30 years’ experience across the electricity and transport sectors, John has held executive roles at Transport for NSW and Ausgrid. He is recognised as a leader in advancing asset and operational risk management through world-class strategies and systems that deliver value for customers and communities.
An AICD graduate, John received the MESA Medal in 2018 for outstanding contribution to asset management and has co-authored two books on the discipline.
