Richard is the General Manager of Contestable Connections Infrastructure at AusNet. Joining the company in 2015, he has supported the facilitation of over 6GW of renewable and storage connections to the Victorian Transmission Network. His role captures the origination, commercial, business and project development functions to connect parties across the national transmission network whether it be for major industrial load or renewable customers.
With over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, his previous roles included the development of an embedded network generation facilitates in Victoria. He is a Chartered Accountant, graduate of the Melbourne Business School EMBA program, holds a double degree in Commerce and Economics and a graduate diploma in Applied Finance.
Richard is dedicated to the transition to Net Zero through facilitating and guiding parties through the complex connection processes and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
