Tim Jordan is an economist and a Commissioner at the Australian Energy Market Commission. The AEMC sets the rules for Australia’s energy markets and advises governments on energy reform.
Tim’s career is energy economics, finance and policy. His focus has always been on accelerating Australia’s energy transition.
Before being appointed a Commissioner at the AEMC in 2022, Tim worked in the Australian Government, at Deutsche Bank, and the Clean Energy Finance Corporation.
Tim has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland. He also has an MPhil from University College London, where he was a Commonwealth Scholar, and a Master of Economics from the University of Sydney.
