Josh Kirkman is the CEO of Surfers for Climate - an exciting environmental charity that is advocating for a healthy ocean, climate action and responsible renewable energy on behalf of the 2.5 million surfers of Australia. Josh has been leading Surfers for Climate since its inception 5 years ago off the back of the successful Fight For The Bight campaign to stop big oil in the Great Australian Bight, seeing the organisation grow rapidly and successfully campaign to achieve first of its kind bipartisan legislation in NSW to ban offshore sea mining.

Josh has a successful competitive history as a competitive bodyboarder, holding numerous Australian titles and holding a world ranking in the top 10. He recently competed in the world bodysurfing championships and holds the ranking of number 7 in the world.

Before leading Surfers for Climate, Josh was the communications director for a Nordic stock listed investment fund and accelerator called Cleantech invest.
