Speaker biography
Lena Parker got her first lessons in energy and business at her family's Ampol service station in Sydney's inner west, where she learned that customers remember how you treat them long after they've forgotten what they paid. She has been testing that theory in bigger and more complex arenas ever since: 13 years at IBM in Australia and London, senior roles at Telstra, Coats plc and Transgrid, then executive leadership at Downer, where her teams delivered around 1 GW of utility-scale wind, solar and transmission projects.
She then founded the Energy Solutions business unit at Ventia, one of Australia's largest essential services companies, working with enterprise and government to electrify and decarbonise their estates, proving that the scalable opportunity behind the meter also exists in the non-residential space.
Most recently, Lena founded Sundance Energy with a mission to address execution risk across the energy transition. She has worked both sides of the energy meter, and she still believes the best conversations happen in person, so come and say hello.
