Leading Potentia Energy (previously Enel Green Power Australia) since January 2021, Werther is a senior executive with extensive experience across the renewables sector. Werther joined Enel Group in 2010 working across international mergers and acquisitions, leading EGP’s business development across North Africa and the Middle East and then as Managing Director for EGP in Morocco. Prior to joining Enel Group, Werther held roles within the Italian public and private sectors, focussed on business development, as well as the United Nations. He has significant Board and governance expertise and currently serves as Chair and Director of large-scale energy assets, in addition to being a Board Member of the Clean Energy Investor Group in Australia.

Werther is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, with a Master of Business Administration (Executive) from Bocconi Business School of Management and extensive post graduate qualifications focussed on corporate finance, renewable energy, and sustainable development, across Harvard Kennedy and Columbia Business Schools. Werther also has a Bachelor of International Relations from the University of Trieste.
