Richard Clifton-Smith is Sustainability Manager at Squadron Energy, where he leads the company’s Sustainability Strategy and oversees its climate, sustainability reporting, modern slavery and human rights work.
Richard’s focus is on making sustainability practical and useful for the business by embedding it into strategy, governance, risk management and day-to-day decision-making. His current role includes leading Squadron's climate-related disclosures, strengthening supplier due diligence and modern slavery risk management, and shaping the company’s broader sustainability approach.
Richard represents Squadron Energy as a founding member of the Biodiversity and Renewables Institute Alliance (BRIA), which brings together the renewables industry, nature conservation and scientific experts to guide decisions that support both clean energy and biodiversity.
Richard lives in the Southern Highlands of NSW with his family of humans and cavoodles.
