Nick Finch is an engineering leader in the renewable energy sector, specialising in utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), grid connections, and power system engineering. As one of the first employees at Akaysha Energy, he has played a key role in the company’s growth and the delivery of landmark energy projects, including leading the engineering design of the Waratah Super Battery. Nick brings experience spanning project development, construction, asset management, and operations, underpinned by an earlier career as an electrical engineer working at multiple power stations with ENGIE. He now leads a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering large-scale energy storage projects with a strong focus on practical and economic engineering outcomes, technical rigour, and system reliability.
