Marla started with West Wind Energy (WWE) in January 2016 and presently serves as the Chief Development Officer, and Chairman of the WestWind Energy board. Under her guidance, West Wind Energy has gained extensive project development experience and has secured planning permission for wind energy projects throughout Australia. WestWind Energy is the largest wind farm developer in Victoria by approved megawatts, with approximately 2.3 GW of approved wind generation capacity across five projects in two states. An additional 9 GW of projects are under development across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.

Marla's academic achievements include a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Business Administration. The diversity of her training, combined with extensive professional experience, form the basis for Marla’s unique expertise in wind energy development and is complemented by her commercial acumen and strength in building lasting relationships.

Marla has consistently steered teams toward achieving important business goals. Her accomplishments include successfully navigating planning permit amendments for the Lal Lal and Moorabool Wind Farms and leading the development of the Golden Plains Wind Farm, recognized as Australia’s largest wind farm.
