Erin van Maanen is an experienced energy sector leader with two decades’ experience in renewables across large-scale project development, wholesale trading, corporate finance, strategy and enterprise leadership.

Erin is currently Executive General Manager, Strategy at Hydro Tasmania, responsible for setting Hydro Tasmania’s strategic direction including progressing business cases for Hydro Tasmania’s major development projects. Erin plays an active role in policy and regulatory advocacy, seeking market and policy settings to support the expansion of renewables and long-duration storage.

Erin has held prior senior leadership roles at Hydro Tasmania in corporate finance, governance and wholesale energy, and most recently spent six months as Interim CEO. Other roles have included Head of Commercial at Marinus Link, in renewable energy project advisory at Macquarie Capital in Hong Kong and progressing wind developments in Australia and Asia at Roaring 40s.
