Darren Brown is Co-Managing Director, Renewables at Octopus Australia, where he leads the firm’s investment and development platform for large-scale wind, solar and energy storage assets.

With over 20 years’ experience in energy infrastructure, Darren has a proven track record across origination, development, M&A and project financing spanning renewables, transmission, and oil & gas.

He has played a leading role in deploying more than $2bn of renewable energy capital and has led landmark transactions including Dulacca Wind Farm and Darlington Point Solar Farm, alongside development acquisitions exceeding $15bn across renewable energy projects.

Prior to Octopus, Darren held senior roles at Infrastructure and energy companies where he has led investments into large-scale infrastructure across renewables and transmission supporting Australia’s energy transition.

At Octopus, Darren is responsible for scaling the renewable platform, working with institutional investors and driving capital deployment across a growing pipeline of wind, solar and storage investments, with experience spanning the full asset lifecycle from origination through to operations.
