Daniel Briggs is a proud Yorta Yorta and Wemba Wemba man who is from Victoria’s Goulburn Murray Region. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and has extensive experience in both the legal field and working with members of marginalised communities.
Daniel is the founding Executive Chair of Yurringa Group, a parent company to four other companies including the flagship and most innovative company, Yurringa Energy, Australia’s first and Indigenous energy retail company. Daniel embraces challenges and holds a strong commitment to contributing to creating workforce and procurement opportunities for Indigenous people. He sees economic advancement as a way to achieve “closing the gap” targets.
Daniel is also a non-executive director of GOTAFE and Goulburn Valley Water. He still has strong community connections and sees his role on various boards important as it encourages the inclusion of Indigenous people in governance and management development.
